Astronomers
but not at all amateurish
Our seminar room
also serves as the official club venue of
the BAA the Burgenland Amateur Astronomers.
Every first Friday of the month there is a club evening from 7
pm in the "Sternenstuberl"
the cosy "star bar" which you are very welcome
to attend.
There is much
for you to find out here about this interesting hobby,
useful tips and plenty of topics for discussion on current
happenings in space. The
regular "star-gazers evenings"
are particularly popular newcomers are also invited to
discover or develop their passion for the night sky.
Besides
an extensive specialist library and
computer software, astronomy aids are also available. Of course
there is a club magazine, Alrukaba, which is published
several times per year, with observation reports, star-finder
charts, dates and news. This magazine is available at the club
evenings and by subscription. Our
boss himself is also crazy about astronomy and frequently
goes off in the evening to observe the stars.
The
group is of course always delighted to welcome new members.
Information about membership is available from the BAA home page,
www.astronomie.at/burgenland, or
by e-mailing baa@astronomie.at. |
